 SYNOPSIS

It was the best of times it was the worst of times, but one thing's for sure, summertime in New York is one of a kind. As the famed New York wordsmith, Fabolous, readies the third installment of his Summertime Shootout series, we show the duality of New York Summers, the good and the bad. Traversing through the 5 boroughs, we interview prominent artists on their best and worst memories from the summer. Showing that you can’t have the light without the dark and lacing these tales together with album cuts from the new project, we follow Fabolous as he says goodbye to another New York summer.

STRUCTURE

Intro with a voiceover of Fab speaking on how New York summers are like no other. We walk in on a studio session of Fab going over a song from the album getting mixed. The voiceover continues as Fab references all 5 boroughs and we show broll from the interviewees and sites of each borough.

Montage of footage from summer games at Dyckman, Fab at summer jam, club hostings and other events that happened in New York over the summer. This leads us to Fab preparing for NY fashion week, talking about his sense of style and maintaining that during a hot New York summer.

As we go through the interviews of the different artists simply asking them what was their best summer memory and what was their worst, we will cut in and out from Fab preparing his album, playing it for people, as well as him taking part in NY fashion week 2019.

STYLE

I aim to shoot an observational micro-documentary, a short form documentary giving a glimpse into

Fabolous' life around the release of Summertime Shootout III. The overall look and feel of the documentary will be similar to the “Wu Tang: Of Mics and Men” documentary as seen in the reference video below.

Format and Production

I predict this shoot will be very run and gun with limited time so I would like to shoot video on a Canon

C300 mk II in 4k as well as imploring use of DSLRs for more versatility and BRoll.

closing remarks

I look forward to executing this documentary to the best of my abilities allowing this to be a spring board for the highly anticipated work from Fabolous.
